Virtual

2016
White Cube, Porto, Portugal
Virtual was a performance that explored the concept of the authentic self within the context of social media. The work centered on a live stream in which only my face was visible, captured in a static frame. This deliberate framing emphasized the performative and curated nature of online identities, questioning the boundaries between reality and digital representation.

Presented in 2016 at the White Cube in Porto, Virtual used its minimalistic setup to provoke reflection on the ways we construct and project our sense of self in digital spaces. By reducing the performance to a single, unchanging perspective, the work highlighted the tension between intimacy and detachment, authenticity and performance, in the era of constant online visibility.
