Galeria da Cozinha, Porto, PortugalIn Between, created in collaboration with Sofia Almeida, was developed entirely from recycled materials, placing sustainability at the core of both its form and its thinking. The installation draws viewers into an immersive environment where colour and projected geometric shapes overlap and dissolve, forming a kind of visual poem about the hollowness of constructed, artificial spaces.

Shown at Galeria da Cozinha in Porto in 2016, In Between plays on the tension between apparent simplicity and emotional depth, using a pared-back visual language to invite quiet, inward looking. By turning discarded materials into a contemplative spatial encounter, the work unsettles familiar readings of space, matter and significance, asking audiences to reconsider where the line between the natural and the artificial is drawn—and who gets to draw it.
